GSDMSFI Strengthens Commitment to Quality Education Through Scholarship Contract Signing at Udagri Integrated School

In line with the celebration of its 23rd Foundation Anniversary and ASEAN Month 2026, General Santos Doctors’ Medical School Foundation, Inc. (GSDMSFI) reaffirmed its commitment to promoting quality education and community development through a Scholarship Contract Signing Activity held at Udagri Integrated School.

A total of 13 learners were granted scholarship support during the activity. Ten scholars were selected from Udagri Integrated School, while an additional three beneficiaries received scholarships through the generosity of GSDMSFI employees who voluntarily pledged to “adopt a scholar” for one year.

Beyond providing financial support for education, the initiative also addressed the learners’ essential school and household needs. Each scholar received a school bag, school supplies, uniforms, shoes, and five kilograms of premium rice, reflecting GSDMSFI’s holistic approach to supporting the well-being of its scholars and their families.

Representing GSDMSFI during the activity were Dr. Mario Y. Dideles, Vice President for Academics and Administration; Dr. Grace Joy G. Nietes, RN, College Dean and Assistant Vice President for Academics; Ms. Jenny Marie C. Padilla, CHRA, CHRP, Assistant School Administrator; and Ms. Eden Grace Morales, Community Involvement Services (CIS) Officer, who spearheaded the activity in close partnership with the teachers and personnel of Udagri Integrated School.

The event was also supported by GSDMSFI Unit Heads, students, and Alumni Officers. The Alumni Officers contributed school supplies and bags for the scholars, further demonstrating the shared spirit of generosity and service within the GSDMSFI community.

In celebration of ASEAN Month, GSDMSFI students showcased a cultural dance presentation highlighting ASEAN integration and appreciation of the diverse cultures of Southeast Asia. An ASEAN Quiz was likewise conducted as part of the program, providing participants with an engaging opportunity to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the ASEAN community.

The scholarship contract signing highlighted not only GSDMSFI’s commitment to making education more accessible but also the collective effort of its employees, students, alumni, and partner institutions in uplifting young learners.

As GSDMSFI celebrates 23 years of commitment to shaping bright minds, skilled hands, and compassionate hearts, initiatives such as the scholarship program continue to embody the institution’s dedication to meaningful partnerships, social responsibility, and service to the community.
