General Santos Doctorsโ€™ Medical School Foundation, Inc. (GSDMSFI) formally strengthened our partnership with Burapha University, Thailand, through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on August 25, 2026, during the 1st GSDMSFI International Research Conference.

The agreement marked a significant milestone for both institutions, with the international research conference serving as the first collaborative activity. Through this partnership, GSDMSFI reaffirms our shared commitment to advancing academic cooperation, research engagement, internationalization, and the exchange of knowledge and best practices in nursing and allied health sciences education.

Burapha University was represented by Dr. Pornchai Jullamate, RN, PhD, University Council Member and Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Nursing; Dr. Yupawan Thongtanunam, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Nursing; and Mrs. Louela Cordova Acedera, Deputy Chairman for International Affairs of the Faculty of Nursing.

Representing GSDMSFI were Dr. Daniel G. Yap, FPCS, FAC, President; Dr. Mario Y. Dideles, MHCA, FPOA, Vice President for Academics and Administration; and Dr. Grace Joy Gerada-Nietes, RN, College Dean and Assistant Vice President for Academics.

Present also in the MOU signing are the representatives from CHED Region XII, Mr. Danstone Guy P. Dayaday; Education Supervisor II and Internationalization Focal Person, and Mr. Janreve M. Odango, LPT; Project Technical staff III.

The signing of the MOU establishes a strong foundation for future collaborative initiatives between our institutions and creates opportunities for our academic communities to share expertise, strengthen research capabilities, and engage in meaningful international academic activities.

As we continue to expand our international linkages, GSDMSFI remains strongly committed to providing globally responsive education, promoting research excellence, and building partnerships that contribute to the professional and academic growth of our students, faculty members, and the wider GSDMSFI community.
